Exercise: The Most Critical Aspect of Any Lifestyle


Now I have wrote about this in the past but I though I needed to touch base again on this point.  You may already know what I'm talking about or you may be wondering what it is.  I'm discussing EXERCISE and really any kind, any form, anything that gets you moving in the direction of living a healthier lifestyle.  Really anything it can be walking, jogging, step aerobics, interval training, boxing,
martial arts, running, hiking, biking, skiing, canoeing, kayaking, using a treadmill, elliptical, or rowing machine anything that makes you use your own body to get you some where or gets your blood pumping.  Cardio exercise is the only thing that keeps are hearts strong and the blood flowing properly without exercise your heart becomes weak just like your other muscles and you increase the risk of heart disease, heart attack, Obesity"staying FAT", and other health complications.  So before you sit down for the evening to watch your favorite program or even just to read a book consider going for a walk first or even a jog depending on your physical abilities.  People in wheelchairs consider using some dumbbells if you have use of your arms or some other sport like wheelchair basketball.  Really there are forms of exercise for all people meaning anyone that is willing to try something new or something they may have done many years prior just do it your body may yell at you with pain but that is your body telling you your out of shape it gets easier as you progress.  Staying healthy and strong is in your hands no one can do the exercise for you.  Time for you to get off the tush and move your buns.

P.S. I recommend buying a MP3 player or Ipod and have some music to listen too.  I personally find it motivating while at the gym or even walking my dog. I listen to techno it gets you moving, but choose what you like classical though may not be the best choice for a workout session just an observation.

Remember like I have said before only you can make the changes for you!.  Look at it this way when someone says you can't do it or you will always be FAT use that as a motivator and prove them wrong.

Trust me it feels great when you do something and surprise people that said you couldn't do it has given me more motivation to carry on and lose even more weight.

Tropical Fruits: Dragon Fruit talk about a Strange Little Package.


I came across this strange looking fruit over many years ago and since then I cannot get enough of it.  These tasty fruit look like something you would see in an episode of Star Trek being ripped apart by a Klingon or some other science fiction flick.  Really when you see them you will know what I'm talking about, and if you have you would most likely agree.   If you have yet to try them simply based on what they look like then your passing buy a fruit like no other and the taste that is unmatched.  From the outside you would suspect the inside looking even more bizarre though it is quite simple actually.   When I first cut one of these open I didn't know what  to expect what it would look like, taste like, and what the texture was going to resemble.  I was pleasantly surprised to see a large ball form it actually looked like a large white kiwi fruit but they can be different colors like the deep red you see in the photo above and they also have a yellow skin variety as well.  Like so many fruits there are many different varieties I guess you could say this is like Thailand's take on the North American Apple. 

So the look of the interior flesh it was easy to digest, the smell was sweet but also kind of neutral.  Then came the taste and from what I could decipher with my keen sense of taste was that it tasted as if a pear and a kiwi fruit mingled together and formed this SUPER FOOD.  Yes this awesome fruit is considered a super food I would have to right another whole article to explain all of the health benefits and most likely someone already has so I will keep mine brief.   It tastes great is loaded with tons of essential nutrients, minerals, and antioxidants as well it is also great for a after or prior workout energy boost, naturally low in calories and is also an exotic fruit originating mainly in Thailand and other parts of Asia.




So put the look of this fruit aside buy one try it and trust me you'll be hooked.

Bananas & Dates: Two Staple Foods for a Thriving Raw Food Lifestyle

DATES/BANANAS.  These two items are crucial to living a thriving raw food lifestyle.  What I mean by thriving is that if you want to live raw and be all simple and lazy and such that is fine and all.  But if you live like so many of us that have a hard job, enjoy being outdoors, jogging,  and other sports and in general trying to stay healthy and fit then you need to consume these two items and in vast quantities to truly excel in you life.  For instance I had an awesome green smoothie for breakfast with four bananas, 1cup blueberries, 2cups water and a good handful of spinach  MMMM.  Now I recommend bananas and dates simply because they are foods that you can get reasonably cheap all year round.  When you consider your other high fructose fruits like Mangos for instance they are quite expensive out of season.  So if your living this way and you have a thriving lifestyle and you find yourself running out of energy grab some bananas and munch on a few dates and your good to go and they are both so portable.  Just my opinion eat what you wish though most longterm raw foodist would agree with me.  I have enclosed a link to Raw Food Vegan Athlete Harley Johnson also known as Durianriders video on the importance of Bananas and Dates and a Thriving Raw Foodists Lifestyle.  Check it out have a laugh and also learn some stuff you may not know he has been 100% Raw for many years and is also an extreme athlete "Caution He Swears Some".

Sleep Problems: Live Raw Sleep Like a Baby..

So for the last while I have been living mainly raw.  Yes I have experimented with some meat products and even some processed stuff.  Mainly though just raw fruits and veggies and some dried fruit, nuts and super foods like chia seeds for instance.  Okay lets get to the title of the blog I have never slept this good well except for maybe when I was a teenager, it is kind of strange I know this lifestyle is able to reverse the aging process to some degree though truly I feel like I'm getting younger as each day goes by. Not only do I sleep better I find I'm getting smarter or maybe my brain isn't weighed down with toxins as much as before I started this Raw Food lifestyle conversion.   Really whatever the reason I'm not complaining this is awesome like I have said in the past it amazes me that just changing the way you eat and what you eat that it can have such a huge impact on your life.   So I would have to say too all the people living with insomnia or restlessness consider this lifestyle for yourself, you may also enjoy the best sleep you have had in years.  Remember it is a known fact that green smoothies/Raw Foods can help with anxiety and depression which have been commonly associated with insomnia and restlessness.  So really with all of the health benefits living this way has to offer why wait another minute try this for yourself.

Dwarf Hamsters Small and Easy to Lose.

Well as many of my followers know my wife I purchased a dwarf Hamster awhile back.  Well one time putting him in his roll around hamster ball while we changed his cage materials became a very new experience for the both of us.  Well we hadn't heard the little rascal rolling around for a little while so my wife went looking thankfully are place is not huge.  She found the ball but no Chico thats his name.  She noticed him though he was sitting in the corner,  well of course she called me to where she was standing and let me know what was going on.  Then the fun started these hamsters are not your average chubby & large teddy bear hamsters they are very small and are like furry rockets and generally do not like to be handled.  Man we thought a few times we were going to lose him.  The big pain in the butt was he ran under our sauna luckily it is portable to some degree and I had a broom handle near by after what seemed a lifetime coaxing him out from under the sauna he ran under a roll of carpet mat that had moved and I was able to box him in and catch him.  The loose hamster ordeal was over, and I taped the ball around the middle so it could not break open next time.  All I can say is if you have one of these and you have a hamster ball consider taping the ball in the middle connection point because they do break open even falling down a small step and trust me you do not want to try and catch one of these hamsters these little suckers are like rodent Carl Lewis's on steroids serious fast.
