Health Regeneration: Cleanse Your Organs Drink a Green Juice.

I have drank a lot of green juices over the last few months and I would have to tell you if your not aware of this there is NO BETTER way other then a colonic to really give your colon a good detoxing.  Now your probably saying green juices I cannot handle the taste or I would rather eat my greens etc.  Well first off green juices using a decent juicer not a blender your removing the fiber aspect so it is easier to digest and pull the toxins from your intestinal walls and other body parts.  Not to say yopu could not use a blender just make sure you run the mixture through a nutmilk bag or some cheesecloth to remove the fiber.  Yes we all need fiber but when your detoxing and trying to pull toxins from the body consuming easy digestable substances like a green juice and simple water are the easiest and most practical ways.  Now like I said other then a colonic or an enema green juices are a great for detoxing, but do not dismiss the colonics or enemas these practices could end up saving your life from many ailments including Hemorrhoids, Colon Cancer, Cysts, Intestinal wall thinning.   This is all from a life of eating and drinking junk yes even meat, dairy, and bread products that are sitting on your colon walls and manifesting into some disgusting infection that could lead to something deadly because they never properly got digested in the stomach,  and since our intestines are super long.  So if going for a colonic or giving yourself a enema is not something you'll consider at the moment, get some green juice into you now!!!.   I personally like a concoction of lemon, apple, spinach, cilantro, parsley, romaine, kale, celery, and cucumber very easy on the fruits though like one apple one orange.  If you like some heat hot peppers are also known to help kill bacteria and viruses add some hot pepper like jalapeno for mild or a habanero if you really like the HEAT!!!

Here is a simple recipe

Some Raw Foodists have nicknamed this type of green juice "THE CITRUS BLAST"

2-3 cups spinach washed

1 whole head romaine lettuce washed

1 apple "coring optional"

1 lemon 1-2 bunches of kale, swiss chard, collard greens

whole head of celery

1-2bunches or parsley

1 bunch Cilantro

1 english cucumber or peeled normal cucumber

1-2 hot peppers (optional) kind of pepper depends on your heat sustainability.

or sprinkle of cayenne.

Other optional ingredients can be natural sweeteners like honey, agave, or stevia.

I use a Breville Juice Fountain Elite Juicer- considered the best centrifugal juicer on the market.

If using a blender or a cheaper juicer recommend running juice through nut milk bag or some cheese cloth.

Remember this is a green juice it is not suppose to be all sweet like a smoothie from a "Boosterjuice" or some other juice bar.  It's for your health to help remove toxins from your body.  Follow with a liter of water.  This should make a good amount of juice for one if it is too strong for the weak thisis where you could add some antural sweetener.

For myself  I find most green juices this one included quite refreshing.  "WARNING MAY NOTICE HUGE AMOUNT OF ENERGY BOOST".  Yes these juices have a zing all there own and is quite

a contrast to other stuff you have drank if you have never had one they do grow on you though and the more you drink these and eat raw foods it becomes all you crave.

If you want other smoothie ideas and green juices check out the youtube bar I have below for them.

Balsamic Vinegar Maple & Red Onion Salad Dressing

The ingredients you will need for this are as follows:

3 cups Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 cup Balsamic Vinegar
1/2 cup Maple Syrup
1/2 cup fine diced Red Onion (optional)
Sea Salt and Black Pepper for taste

The maple syrup really gives this balsamic a nice flavor enhancement compared to the store bought which usually is just refined sugar.  The Extra Virgin Olive Oil is also a huge improvement over canola oil or simple no taste veg. oils.   The red onions are optional but do give the dressing a nice texture and added flavor contrast.

Most any vinaigrette based dressing is 3 parts oil to one parts vinegar this will make just over a liter of dressing and should last quite some time.  This may be one of the best dressings I have tried over the years well for a vinaigrette that is.

Preparation:  In a large bowl add the vinegar and the syrup and the red onions if you choose, slowly incorporate the olive oil and enjoy.  This can also be done the idiot proof way by dumping all ingredients into a sealable jar and shaking it until well combined.

Enjoy God Bless and Peace.

Green Smoothie: Mixed Fruit Green Smoothie

The ingredients needed for this delightful concoction are as follows

1cup blueberries
1cup nectarines or peaches
1cup strawberries
1 banana
2 cups spinach
1 bottle of water or 500ml tap or Brita water or what ever you have.

Cut the Strawberries in half leave the greens on as this is a green smoothie you choice,
deseed the peaches/nectarines and cut into chunks, peel and break banana in half, rinse blueberries.

Place all of the ingredients in the blender and add the water put only half in to start.  This really can depend on the blender you have if you own a Blendtec or a Vitamix you may not even need the water this is only to help it blend.  I only have a Oster 10speed blender so it needs a little help.  Pour this concoction into glasses or a jar and enjoy this will make roughly just over 1ltr of smoothie.

P.S.  If you cannot find these items fresh or they just cost way too much look in the freezer section and get one of the bags of mixed fruit it may not be organic but I won't tell.

God Bless and Peace.

Saucony Triumph 7's: Oh Man Do These New Runners Rock!!!

Well my runners had bit the dust and I desperately needed a new pair after researching some sites on running in general and then looking for some of the best shoes recommended for supinators.  If your not aware what this is it is the opposite of overpronation you foot tends to roll outwards rather then inwards and you tend to wear the outside soles of the shoe.  Anyways I had a few to choose from but like any shoe store you go to they will noly  have a couple of the ones they recommend.  I was lucky I had a pair of Asic Cumulus 12's to try out and some Saucony Triumph 7's.  I first tried on the Saucony's as I was already wearing another pair of Saucony's and I liked the fit and finish of these ones, needless to say these shoes did not disappoint nice feel, tons of cushion, and great traction for running on a track on pavement or doing some cross training I guess you could say a great multi sport shoe.  I next tried the Asics with a 40 dollar price increase I was looking towards the Sauconys which were on sale for 109.00 reg. 169.00 these shoes well they were over cushioned it actually felt like I put a pillow on my foot they just felt strange and running in them felt ackward.  So they Sauconys of course were sold I tried them out today at the gym and wow these shoes are simply amazing they help my gait I feel lighter in my footing and I have no pain in the shins when I run they also work all around for everything else be it the treadmill, elliptical trainer or simply walking around to do some weight training.  I would totally recommend these shoes to anyone that has a supination problem it may just be the fix you need rather then shelling out hundreds of dollars on orthotics check these out first.

Again they were Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7's these were in the top 5 shoes recommended for runners that supinate.  However you may only be able to find the Saucony Triumph 8's they have taken over for the sevens.  I have a link in my fitness section for Finishline Sports that have a huge selection of anything you may have been looking for from shoes to apparel.
God Bless and Peace.

Smoothie Recipe: Tropical Fruit Smoothie

This has too be one of my favorites and incorporates many fruits to make this incredibly tasty concoction you will need:

Fruit from 2 mangos
Fruit from 1/2 papaya
1/2 cup pineapple or a quarter of a pineapple do not used CANNED.
water and meat from one coconut
1 cup ice
1/2 cup almond milk

Alternatives:  Instead of the almond milk and coconut water and meat you could substitute some homemade coconut almond yogurt.

Then of course the easy part place all of the ingredients in a blender and pulse until the whole concoction starts blending stick it on high and liquefy.  Natural healthy fats from the coconut and almonds and of course the protein from the almonds as well this would make an awesome breakfast smoothie or a post work-out snack.  This one is a non-green smoothie as sometimes you just need to have a smoothie that tastes great and looks well normal and not like some kind of radioactive pond scum.  Anyways I hope you'll give this a try and see for yourself how yummy it really is.  The almond milk also gives it that creaminess that you would use yogurt for also one of the reasons I have incorporated this video from The Liferegenerator Dan McDonald on making Coconut Almond Yogurt from scratch if you love yogurt but want to get dairy out of your life this is a must.

Raw Food Recipe: Spicy Papaya Salad

This can serve more then one unless however if you live high raw lifestyle and exercise regularly this will be a great meal for one.  I for one ate all of this for a post workout meal.  Remember a whole head of romaine is only around 50 calories.  Altogether this is probably around the 300-400 calorie range and very hydrating.  Remember when you are not eating meats you need to really grunge on the greens

Ingredients needed to make another simple and yummy salad:
1 head romaine
1 papaya large
2-3 jalapenos
1 red pepper
5-6 strawberries
2-3 limes
1/2 cucumber
Sea Salt "optional"

Pull out the  cutting board chop up lettuce and place in large bowl, cut ends off pepper and remove seeds and then rough chop or large dice and add these to bowl do the same for jalapeno I would do a fine julianne for these, quarter the strawberries and add these to bowl, peel papaya deseed and dice to a size of your liking,  Cut cucumber in half and then half again and slice place other half back in fridge for another meal.  Roll the limes to soften a bit and then cut in half and squeeze all over the salad.  Toss throughly and enjoy I found the heat from 3 average sized jalapenos was just right not too spicy but not bland or unnoticeable but you can always use more if you like it really hot or use a hotter pepper like the habaneros.  I also chose to leave out the salt and it didn't really make any difference lots of flavours with the peppers and papaya and the other fresh ingredients.  Instead of Romaine you could use spinach or any other favorite green of yours I would even suggest Bok Choy for this.

P.S. I would have loved to added some cilantro to this but they were sold out at the store I went so if your thinking this could use something else this would be recommended.  Just had another thought for some healthy fats some avocado would also compliment this salad nicely or just a drizzel of extra virgin olive oil.

God Bless and Peace be with You.
