Green Smoothie: Tropical Explosion

This is what I had for breakfast and all I can say is WOW!.  The items needed for this are

2 cups Hemp Bliss Vanilla- a creamy hemp drink found at health food stores
1 cup So Good- Unsweetened Coconut Milk
2 cups mango chunks  I used frozen
1 1/2 bananas- I had some frozen organic ones.
2 cups spinach
and some water to adjust consistency I do not have commercial blender like Vitamix or Blendtec.

Now for this the frozen aspect of the mango and banana made this quite tasty but I would have to give the majority of the flavour to the hemp bliss and coconut milk.  This made my morning go by great full of energy as you can see with all the blogging and just happy.  Now if you have the young coconuts you could use the water and meat from one of these in absense of the coconut milk for the hemp bliss you could omit it and just use some more coconut milk in its place.  Yes these are premade packaged products but they are using organic ingredients and hemp is one of the best superfoods so if making something easier for myself to consume high quality food and plant based proteins I say awesome.

God Bless and Peace be with you.

Bananas: The Best One's to Buy.

Well we have all grown up choosing the perfect yellow banana, no brown spots or they were just left or turned into banana bread.  The only problem with this is much of society is throwing away or discarding the ripe bananas for the yellow or even green ones.  If only you knew that the bananas that have the nice brown spots and no green are the best bananas you can get your hands on.  Most fruits are harder to digest and eat when not ripe and bananas are no different as many of us know a green banana is bitter and not all that flavourful and will give your stomach a few twists and turns.  So the next time your shopping do not pass by the spotted bananas pick them up they are ripe flavorful and ready to consume why buy green bananas only to have to wait a week before they can be eaten.  Yes and of course the over ripes do not throw them out if you do not bake give them to someone who does they are going to be very happy and you may get a banana loaf out of it that you could turn around and give to a friend in trade for something else bardering it works wonders.
P.S. remember to peel the over ripes before freezing may be a bit messy but a lot easier to this before they are frozen.

AND OF COURSE ORGANIC WHEN YOU CAN FIND THEM!

You can also freeze banana's prior to over ripeness and use them in smoothies or if you have a auger style juicer with a blank plate this is how you would make banana ice cream.
God Bless and Peace.

Hooked on Matcha

Well this past week and some I have been trying a bunch of straight tea varieties at my local David's tea since they have this awesome promotion going on.  Anyways on one of my trips to the store I was contemplating many things and someone mentioned the matcha.  Now for those of you who do not drink a lot of tea Matcha is a green tea powder made from green tea leaves of course, now with this you do not brew the matcha you place some in a bowl add some hot water and whisk with a special matcha whisk to remove the lumps and then add to a cup rinsing the bowl out with more water and adding this to the cup as well.  So in essence you are consuming the tea rather then just steeping it, this I found out gives you a long lasting power kick, yes green tea has caffiene in it but since the caffiene is really nothing compared to the health benefits and the caffiene in green tea works differently then coffees caffiene you do not have a sudden crash or the buzzy feeling.  My first walk down the matcha path I mixed it with another green tea from the selection called Dragonwell which is a fried, and pressed green tea leaf tea this was a great combination.  The next time I went in I was told about another matcha concoction that peaked my interest first off it was given the nickname at my store "The Incredible Hulk" it was a blend of Matcha and Chocolate Rocket needless to say it gave me a nice boost of energy and tasted great.

BENEFITS OF GREEN TEA:  antioxident rich, helps to curb appetite, increase metabolism aiding in weight loss, caffiene to help you kick coffee, powerful anti-cancer fighting properties, great detoxifier, helps fight disease and illness, MAKES A GREAT BEVERAGE!!!

Matcha has become a new staple for some of my tea concoctions, but many others I love will stay true to themselves just on there own.  The next time your in a gourmet tea place and have the opportunity to try Matcha I highly recommend however I will caution you once you try it you may become "HOOKED".

God Bless and Peace.
