Raw Food Recipe: Spicy Papaya Salad

This can serve more then one unless however if you live high raw lifestyle and exercise regularly this will be a great meal for one.  I for one ate all of this for a post workout meal.  Remember a whole head of romaine is only around 50 calories.  Altogether this is probably around the 300-400 calorie range and very hydrating.  Remember when you are not eating meats you need to really grunge on the greens

Ingredients needed to make another simple and yummy salad:
1 head romaine
1 papaya large
2-3 jalapenos
1 red pepper
5-6 strawberries
2-3 limes
1/2 cucumber
Sea Salt "optional"

Pull out the  cutting board chop up lettuce and place in large bowl, cut ends off pepper and remove seeds and then rough chop or large dice and add these to bowl do the same for jalapeno I would do a fine julianne for these, quarter the strawberries and add these to bowl, peel papaya deseed and dice to a size of your liking,  Cut cucumber in half and then half again and slice place other half back in fridge for another meal.  Roll the limes to soften a bit and then cut in half and squeeze all over the salad.  Toss throughly and enjoy I found the heat from 3 average sized jalapenos was just right not too spicy but not bland or unnoticeable but you can always use more if you like it really hot or use a hotter pepper like the habaneros.  I also chose to leave out the salt and it didn't really make any difference lots of flavours with the peppers and papaya and the other fresh ingredients.  Instead of Romaine you could use spinach or any other favorite green of yours I would even suggest Bok Choy for this.

P.S. I would have loved to added some cilantro to this but they were sold out at the store I went so if your thinking this could use something else this would be recommended.  Just had another thought for some healthy fats some avocado would also compliment this salad nicely or just a drizzel of extra virgin olive oil.

God Bless and Peace be with You.
