Awesome Mixed Green Salad- with Pineapples and Olives


My dinner last night another great salad concoction:

1/2 can of black olives sliced
1/2 cucumber
1 cup pineapple
4 cups of organic mixed greens and herbs
1/2 cup of Renee's Sweet Onion Vegan dressing with some balsamic vinegar added to it this addition actually worked out well curbed the onion a tad.

Start off by adding olives to a large bowl, cup up cucumber in bite size pieces, I grabbed a fresh whole pineapple as they were on sale so peel a potion of the fruit and than cut into nice size chunks.  Greens are already triple washed and organic so they can be tossed right in.  I only had a small amount of dressing left so I poured the balsamic right into the bottle gave it a good shake with lid on of course and poured it over the salad.  Gave the salad a good toss and dived in water was the accompaniment and for dessert a couple of the almond date rolls.   I could easily make them but the Natural Delights from Bard Valley were on special if you have not tried them go for it you will not be disappointed.

You Know What Food's Are Good for You.


We go throughout life eating things in the beginning given to us by our parents/guardians some of these things taste great like chocolate chip cookies, candy, and Fast Food.  We do not realize until later in life that  these so called great tasting foods are considered junk food, sugary poison, and the leading cause to our obesity epidemic.  We do however start to consume the foods we psychologically know are good for us but also know that some of them do not taste as good as those sugary processed foods of our pasts and therefore choose not to consume them.  Even myself as a teenager did not like certain veggies for instance brussel sprouts and turnips were very disgusting to me as I have gotten older however I love these veggies the flavors are incredible and my body is telling me that eat these and feel great.  I have really always loved fruits and most veggies never been a picky eater and sadly many kids are growing up as picky eaters because they are learning these traits from their parents. 

Getting back to the title topic we know when we eat a salad or have an apple or a bowl of fruit salad are bodies feel quenched and nourished and ready for action but when we eat fast food or some processed foods we feel lazy and tired basically lethargic.  If  we know this than why does most of society continue to eat foods that make them feel crappy and sleepy because of those two sinister ingredients found in processed foods around the globe that we have been using to enhance foods and make things taste better than they actually do yes salt/sugar.  Now I mean the processed and refined salts and sugars not the natural sea salts, and natural sugars found in fruits and veggies these are the good ones are bodies flourish with.  Now I'm not saying I'm perfect in any stretch of the imagination and right now have been in a bit of a lull with weight and eating properly.  I do still consume tons of fruits and veggies as in juices and smoothies and salads but I have been indulging in wine, and some cooked food.  I'm as you could say off the raw wagon right now but still want to address that giving your body the foods you know are good for you and trying to consume more raw fruits and veggies into your life; could mean the difference between living a great life and living a simple existence.

Raw fruits and veggies have the ability to heal the body in very profound ways people have even come forward with cancer being removed and other ailments vanishing altogether.  So if your ill or you no someone who is battling a sickness of any kind take them a green juice and some fresh fruit organic is best and help them on the road to recovery.

The truth of the matter is God the creator of everything around us created thousands of different varieties of fruits,vegetables, nutrient dense super foods, and herbs that need no cooking of an kind  to consume and  that are more than enough to sustain human life as we know it.  Meats,dairy, and processed wheat products are not needed to have a strong healthy body.  Fruits and veggies can give you all the energy and nutrition your body will ever require.  Not only will you sleep better, have more energy, and have less days of sickness if any at all, your body will burn off excess body fat in no time flat.  You can ask any Dr. that deals with obesity and gastric bypass and he will tell his patients to lose some weight before he will operate and do you know what he tells them eat your greens and lots of raw fruits and veggies this does not mean pie, cookies, jams or jellies but natural forms of foods unaltered no sugars added and of course uncooked this even means unpasteurized so if you can make your own fresh juices, and smoothies in your smoothies stay away from Dairy using alternatives is fine like fresh made coconut or almond milk or a combo of both.

If hospitals stopped serving over cooked slop to patients and instead bought some juicers and placed a lot of the elderly and terminally ill patients on green juices and salads with natural dressings they would see a huge improvement in the health of their patients and who knows even cancer vanishing.

What if this way of life is the fountain of youth we have all been searching for would you not want to give reversing the life cycle a chance.  Many people and Master Yogi's who live this way have labelled it the anti-aging lifestyle and also illness destroying and the obesity cure.

Instead of wasting anymore money on supplements and diet fads and machines why not just purchase a boat load of organic fruits and veggies and go on a juice cleanse today.  Changing your lifestyle is not an easy thing to do but just trying a green juice a day for say a week you'll see the extra energy you receive you will be like wow lets do more.

Take a Look at Yourself.

The title of this blog is well to really start to take a real close look at yourself not just on the outside but also how you are feeling on the inside.  Maybe life over the last few years or maybe most of your life has been an uphill battle with emotions and well the weight elevator as I'm also well aware of as are so many of us in this world.   All I'm saying is maybe consider this option if your really ready to hunker down and change yourself for the better and healthier side of yourself take a picture of yourself and then put it on the fridge and possibly other cabinets and the pantry and any other hiding places that there may be some temptations.   Especially if your the only one wanting to change if you have a family you may have those sugary and fatty junk foods still kicking around calling out to you.  Then in say about six months take another picture of yourself and put them side by side and then continue your journey until your at the size you want to be.  The best motivation you can give yourself isthe chance to see the positive changes in yourself but mentally and physically.  Changing your lifestyle can literally change who you are make a better you today just by choosing to make healthier choices for your life and your family.  The more you show your kids how important it is to take care of yourself the more they will embrace the change.  Eating healthier is one step but you also have to start moving be it walking, pushing yourself around in a wheelchair whatever gets your blood pumping and heart going.  God Bless and Peace.

How Long it will take to convert to completely RAW Lifestyle.

This to answer one of my comments I received.  This is a tough one since the time period will fluctuate per individual and the willpower and motivation one person has also differs from each person to the next.  I still battle this myself and I know many people who have now been Raw for many years dealt with there own non-raw temptations for years before they were fully Raw and Vegan.  I also have heard many people on this planet of ours that thrive on a high raw diet with a percentage of cooked foods actually there is another diet or lifestyle plan called the Hallulah Diet that does just that 85% raw uncooked foods and 15% cooked foods. 
Many people also have been debating lately that a totally Raw diet may not be the best for everyone as we all have different body mechanics as in metabolisms differ, fat percentages are different so many people are not super active as eating Raw Living Foods does give you loads of energy.  As well as some people may just not be able to handle the conversion. 

I would say if this is something you need to do for your health and well being and possibly to lose a considerable amount of weight you may just find the extra bit of will power to overcome those temptations you may have.   For instance if you are a big meat eater say 3-5 times per week try going away from meats from 2 of those days make them veggie days, truly many companies do make substitute meat but I would not recommend this processed junk.  Many books have come out on raw foods and how to prepare some amazing creations I  however like just eating the fruits and veggies in there true unchanged form like God intended.  Like I have said in many of my other blogs truly the root to better health, a removal or reversal of illness, anti-aging qualities, and an almost never ending supply of energy is fruits, veggies and juices in the RAW!.

#1 All I can tell you is to get through the hard temptations is remove them from your home 
#2 Have plenty of fruits and veggies available to you,
#3 If you feel hungry but just ate have some water this will fill you up and curb the appetite or some nice herbal or green tea also works well for this. 
#4 Take the time to take care of yourself!!
 If your a person who is always doing everything for your family and nothing for yourself it is time to take some of that time and use it to pamper yourself or even go to the gym for a good workout, time to tell the hubby to take over for awhile or tell the oldest child if capable to watch over the younger ones.

Truly the culprit to your obesity could be that you never took the time to take care of YOU!.  Maybe it is time for that spa day, and to hit the gym with some of your friends or your mate and finally find the fit person you may have been in the past or have always wanted to be. 

REMEMBER IT IS NEVER TO LATE TO TURN BACK THE HANDS OF TIME AND MAKE A BETTER LIFE FOR YOURSELF-JUST LIKE THE NEW SEASON OF THE BIGGEST LOSER IS "NO EXCUSES" TIME TO STOP MAKING MORE REASONS ON YOUR LIST OF EXCUSES AND TO START CROSSING THEM OUT.  Simply changing your eating habits and watching what you eat can be the biggest change in what the scale has to show.

I remember watching a Dr. Oz episode many months ago and he made a very true statement if we all would only shop the edges of a grocery store and stayed away from the middle we would be making a very smart and healthy choice.  Simply put he was saying that all the foods that we should stay away like all the processed, refined, junk foods, and other chemically laden foods are usually pushed into all of the aisles found in the middle.  Where the fruits and veggies and other healthy alternatives are found on the edges.  That hit home to me since it is so true most every store you walk into the junk is in the aisles.

So I would say on average give yourself a 6 months maybe two years to fully convert to Raw. However if this is for someone that is dying of extreme obesity this can be done FAST and should be considered check out Youtube Videos on my site for Dave the Raw Food Truck Driver and also Bill at Rawfoodformylife. 

Remember one last thing you do not need to spending momney on all of these gadgets when you first start out yes a juicer is a good idea and a blender but stuff like a food dehydrator if your looking for simple and tasty just eat the fruits and veggies how they were created.   Some you'll love some you'll be like interesting remember just because you have never eaten it before doesn't mean you shouldn't atleast try it out.  Truly I keep learning new fruit and veggie trivia everyday just like supposedly there are over 300 types of kiwi in china in all actuality Dragonfruit could be one of those kiwi varieties that we see all over now, try these if you like kiwi and pear you'll be in heaven.

So to end this Blog every person converting to a new lifestyle or even trying a new diet plan will differ from one person to the next and what one person may get out of it the next may not.  However this does not mean that you should not try something that may make your life everything you have been missing who knows maybe there is a hot skinny healthy woman, or strong healthy fit man hiding beneath the layers of fat start chisling away with more fruit and veggies and just take it one day at a time also if you ever come to a point were you feel like your body is a standstill on the scale do not fret it is just your body getting used to the new you and once this passes more weight will come off.

Lose Weight Fast Without The Battle.

Have you been wondering how to lose some weight without surgery or some insane exercise routine.  Have you been battling the bulge for many years of your life if not all of your life.  Do you finally want to take control of your life so you can start living like all the fit and slim friends that seem to laugh at your obesity.  Well what if I could tell you that your transformation into the world of slim is as easy as dropping the cooked junk you have been eating all your life, and to start increasing your fruit and veggie intake especially the greens and citrus.  Yes no insane exercise routine, no surgery, and you will start shedding off the fat in record time.  The only thing is losing all the junk from your life.  For instance " No Fast Food, Junk Food, Processed Crap, Dairy Products, Meats, and especially any baked goods.  This may sound insane but truly why do you think you may be over weight or even in the realm of morbid obesity simply put all your life you have been eating this junk. 


First of all the biggest issue before starting any lifestyle change is to come to the reality of why you have let yourself go.   Be it emotional eating, depression, or abuse of some kind, or even self hatred.  Truly before battling the bulge one of the most serious aspects of your life is battling some inner demons that have gotten you to this point in your life and this weight!.  Now in retrospect this can label any eating disorder be it emotional overeating, bulimia, anorexia, food addiction, or some other undiagnosed eating condition.

We all have issues in our lives no matter how big or small they are throughout our lives many people become experts at bottling these emotions and issues up the only problem is for some people bottling them up includes massive weight gain or weight loss.  Or even dying due to health complications before getting the help they need to battle the issues at hand.  Weight gain or excessive weight loss and the person not doing anything about it is very psychological.  Basically blocking out increasing weight issues is a lot easier then dealing with the emotional issues that got you there in the first place.  No matter if you are huge or starving to death both of these issues can be attributed to psychological blocks.

All I'm saying being someone who has been battling the bulge most of my own life I can understand firsthand why some of us just find comfort in ourselves no matter what the size we become.  I can also come to the realization that many people put on massive amounts of weight just to shield themselves from others or society in general.   We feel that if we are fat and unapprochable we will be safer in life and that no one will hurt us again. 

What I have found in my own journey is that raw food brings happiness, it allows you to look inside yourself to overcome any obstacles that may have stopped you in the past.   It has been shown that raw FRUITS AND VEGGIES simply put reduce depression, mental illness issues, illness in general, and causes joy and almost endless energy. 

Now for those of you that do not know what is allowed in a raw food lifestyle here is a breakdown:

ALL FRUITS AND VEGETABLES IN RAW STATE!!!!
DRIED FRUITS AND VEGGIES as long as they were processed under 119 degrees.
RAW NUTS, PEANUTS NOT INCLUDED- THIS IS RECOMMENDED FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE ALREADY THIN AND HEALTHY IF TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT YOU DO NOT CONSUME NUTS AS THEY ARE HIGH IN FAT.  P.S. with nuts remember to soak atleast 1hr or longer to remove the enzyme inhibitors.
FERMENTED VEGGIES LIKE RAW SAUERKRAUT FOR INSTANCE.
SPROUTS
SPROUTED GRAINS AND LEGUMES
DEHYDRATED PRODUCTS SUCH AS KALE CHIPS or fruit leathers no sugar added.
NUTRITIONAL YEAST
RAW CHOCOLATE
WHEATGRASS
CHIA SEEDS
HEMP SEEDS and many others,
and supplements if desired would be some probitic capsules, enzyme capsules, and any other product you so desire.

ALCOHOL IS NOT ALLOWED or atleast only in moderation, CAFFIENE IS ALSO TO BE TAKEN OUT OR ATLEAST REDUCED.  I MYSELF LOOK AT THIS AS COFFEE MORE THEN ONE A DAY, BLACK TEAS THE SAME.  ENERGY DRINKS none at all loaded with sugars as well OR CAFFINE PILLS ETC.  AND YES WEIGHT LOSS PILLS WOULD ALSO BE IN THIS MIX IF THEY HAVE CAFFIENE. 

Of course this is if you were to go full bore into a raw food vegan lifestyle which can end up being catastrophic go slow and convert yourself overtime.  Unless however you are on the verge of death from being morbidly obese like over 400lbs then start on a 100% raw food routine NOW especially the greens.

Even start by doing 50/50 still remove all meats, dairy and COOKED grains AND BREAD PRODUCTS. Your cooked foods can be steamed veggies, and beans fresh/frozen kind nothing canned and some healthy vegan products such as hummus/tofu.

What I have found is the more raw you eat the more it is all you crave. 

P.S. If you live on your own start by removing all temptations like the pantry full of junk food, and the freezer full of ice cream treats and processed garbage.  Run do not walk to the store and grab a ton of produce.

If you have a family and you are all starting to resemble bowling balls maybe its time you remove the junk.  Truly learning how to UNCOOK MAY JUST BE THE LIFE PERSERVER YOU HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!!!

Combat the Fat Eat RAW

What can I say most every person on the planet has dealt with the issue of a belly be it just a little flab or the morbidly obese.  Even I have and still continue to battle with the belly bulge this is actually one of the reasons I started down the path of living mainly raw.  I have been a heavier set guy since I was 10yrs old and well almost hitting forty starts to make you think it is about time I dealt with this issue.  Now I'm not saying that being fat has not been hard on me I have been called names looked at in disgust people who are heavier know what I'm talking about.  I was lucky enough to find a person who loved me for me and she has also been my motivator in getting in shape for the first time in my life.  Yes I'm talking about my wife she is the lucky one having the high metabolism and has usually been about half my size.  Well all I can say is that with hard work and some dedication on my part I'm starting to tone my body knock off some pounds and be more energetic and full of joy.  I find that this Raw Food Lifestyle has been a life preserver thrown out to me in the high seas of obesity and it truly has set me free to lose the weight I want while enjoying some great fruits and veggies I have loved throughout my life and trying new ones as I continue on my raw journey.  

I have found a lifestyle that works for me and many others in this world that is healthy, full of benefits, aids in weightloss, curbs depression, great for anxiety, increase joy, energy, love, spiritual awareness and many illnesses that you may know you have or not.  It has also been labelled the Fountain of Youth or Anti-Aging Lifestyle.  So truly if you are finally tired of being fat, lazy and sick, get rid of all the junk in your cabinets, fridge, drawers, and any secret hiding spaces, and
start cleaning up your life.

Beating Temptations

Now I'm not saying that I'm perfect far from it I'm just saying there are simple ways to overcome or just distract yourself from many temptations that you may face if and when you start living a Raw Food Lifestyle.  First off many people who have been consuming meats, dairy and other animal products will have a lot harder time converting to this lifestyle then those that have been living vegetarian or vegan.  Vegan's would have the easiest transition simply because they would just have to remove the cooked foods from there diet the no animal product aspect is mute.  I myself have been a meat consuming person all of my life and it simply came down to research and my weight issues that I started down this path myself.  I do battle with meat and other animal products here and there as well as bread products.  The one aspect I have found on my journey to becoming a raw foodist completely is try to have some of your favorite fruits and veggies around at all times even if they are dried, the reason I say this is if your tempted to eat something that you know would just cause havoc too your body or disrupt your conversion to raw having something to eat in its place will help you through the temptation.   Kind of like the "Special K" commercial with the woman and the pastrie dilemma, instead it would be like having an apple or some raw trail mix or even some dried fruit like mango for instance.   Having the ability to carry around a delicious snack  whereever you go and not having to worry about it going bad is also one of the plus's of living a rawfood lifestyle.  So before you head out to the store or the mall where you have candy, pastries, and other unhealthy choices all around you and tempting your tastebuds at every turn toss an apple, pear, orange, or some other fruit, or a baggie of raw fruit and nuts and be full of joy that if you get the munchies you have something to curb your appetite rather then the crap all around you.

Dehydrated Fruits & Veggies


Well the other day my mother in-law who has become a food dehydrating queen gave me some of the fruit and veggies she had dried. They included some dried strawberries, rhubarb, chard, and some tomatoes.  All I can say is wow the flavours just stayed so true and pure.   I made a smoothie this morning with some of the strawberries and the rhubard she had done with a couple of good handfuls of spinach and a little of the dried chard and some warm water to help rehydrate needless to say it was a little on the tart side less rhubard next time but talk about a refreshing and powerful energy packed delight maybe I could have used a little honey or agave or even just a banana.  So many people need to consider getting a dehydrator these work awesome for seasonal fruits and veggies like mangoes for instance when they are in season dry a bunch and you have mangoes year round or any fruit or veggie really even the greens.  The strawberries were a little crisp but my mother in-law said maybe cut them thicker or just do not dry so long but in truth you want them dry so they do not go moldy.  I have seen many people make dips and such from dried fruits and veggies. I think I will make a hot pepper dip with the dried tomatoes MMM just the thought of that makes me salivate.

Junk Food: The Reason you are Sick & Tired!!

Well if you watch tv you have probably seen the advertisement on the effects of junk food being just as hard on your liver and kidneys as consuming excess alcohol.  Needless to say the reason for this is that when you consume an abundance of junk food that is full of saturated and trans fats this causes a problem in the liver called fatty liver disease amongst also giving you no nutritional benefits making you feel like you have been run over by a freight train after eating it.  This compounds the more you eat these types of food, then also add obesity to this equation and it tips the scale to harmful health problems as more and more time goes by similar to the aspects of getting liver diseases when they consume too much alcohol over their lifespan.  So if you think your not going to get sick because you do not drink alcohol then you would be mistaken.  If instead your consuming the unhealthy fats like cheesecake, ice cream, potato chips, fast food and other processed junk that not only can lead you to liver and kidney problems but these foods that are also packed with cholesterol are also going to cause blockages in your arteries causing an increase in the risk of heart disease, heart attack, and other weight related illnesses including CANCER.  Even if you are not over weight eating processed junk will catch up too you just as much as alcohol catches up to alcoholics.   So the next time your thinking of having a big bowl of ice cream, a piece of cheesecake, or biting into a juicy burger remember this that you are most likely doing more damage then having an alcoholic beverage.  Remember that only you can make the sound decisions of what you will put into your body if you choose not to consume the junk it will not enter your body.  Truly if anything many companies are now coming forward and letting us know that many of the ingredients used in the process of the products are poison for humans for instance Aspartame, Flouride, and many other chemicals which they do not even give the names of only an abbreviation so even the highly refined sugars that are found in everything like high fructose corn syrup or (HFCS).   Truly as explained in the video above it is explained all the health problems that can be associated with eating junkfood and really how easy it is to just stop putting the junk in your mouth.

Too Much Salt: Stop Damaging your Bones.

I have done alot of reading over my life and in the last few months have come across many articles on Bone density and Bone related health issues like Osteoporosis.  One of the sources I read cleary did a study on the aspects of  Salt on bone density.   If this simple flavour enhancer has already been linked to increased heart attack risk, high blood pressure, stroke, cancers, and other issues then why be surprised that it would be linked to bone health.   What else should we be concerning ourselves with prior to consuming this poison.  Well in the tests they performed they were clearly able to link the intake of salt to loss of bone density.  Also through other tests these professionals completed they found more evidence that woman who ingested more salt then average greatly increased there risk of developing Osteoporosis and other joint/bone issues earlier in life.  We generally relate to bone issues to woman more then men but us men are also at risk.  So the next time you are pouring the salt on your food consider that other then increasing your risk of heart attack or high blood pressure issues, that your also damaging the skeletal structure for your whole body.  Salt if your going to use it at all try using nutrient and mineral rich sea salts but in general many foods we eat have natural sodium and do not even need added salt take celery for instance.

WILLPOWER: The Most Important Aspect to any LIFESTYLE CHANGE!!!

I'm writing this blog because I truly believe many people forget this one important factor in any change of lifestyle or setting a goal.  This factor can be a deciding one in many ways without it your doomed to some degree without enough the same occurs in truth it comes and goes in many of us and it is the spice to the fail or success in little changes we make in our lives.  Yes willpower is needed to change many things from quitting smoking,  getting into the gym, winning the battle of the bulge, and resisting temptations in life.  We need to look at our level of devotion to the changes we consider making and amount of commitment we are willing to place in these changes.  Then if we have the will to succeed then the rest is just patience and relying on yourself to stick with it and the goal your fighting for will eventually become a reality.  We  see so many people go apply to be on these reality shows some with a great talent to showcase or others that want to change their outer appearance and lose a great deal of weight.   All of these people had one thing in common they all had the willpower and the courage to fight for a placement on these shows or atleast to put there best foot forward.  Willpower and commitment go hand in hand well to some degree some would say that they had cold feet on there wedding day but the Willpower they had to marry the one they love overcame this feeling.   We have all said I want to do this or that but lack the willpower to succeed truly this is just an excuse many us just do not want to commit to the change like quitting smoking for instance or losing weight.  Simply put it comes down to the individual not wanting to give up somehting in there lives be it the controlling smokes or the decadent piece of cake or piece of pizza.  Really without willpower we would simply give up on everything we do so remember the next time you want to give up on your goal remember all the commitment and devotion you have already given the change and keep going.

Eating some cooked foods is not all BAD.

Well to all the people who follow my blog and just to the others that are trying to live a mainly raw lifestyle or have fully converted to raw I'm here to say it ain't easy to just eat raw.  Well in many ways it is very easy and in many ways it isn't having some equipment can make things difficult missing a nice chunk of fish or tasty piece of meat in the beginning can be a little rough and taxing.  I have noticed a few things though when I eat cooked or processed foods I lose some of the energy I feel when I have been just consuming the fruits and veggies.  I know this simply because I have noticed it in my experimentation of eating cooked and eating raw unprocessed foods.  I have found that after I eat cooked foods I feel well weak and lazy compared to the happy joyful and full of energy feeling I have felt after eating some greens and some fruit.   Do not get me wrong the cooked foods still do hold somewhat of a control over myself like I have written in the past I'm a newly converting and at the moment a 70-80% raw foodist.   I'm not even going to say vegan because I'm not a vegan and I do not see myself becoming a full fledge vegan for one I love my honey 2nd I will indulge in some animal bi-products here and there just because life is too short too live without some indulgences.

I love fish always have having it once in awhile I feel is fine and the omega 3's and other aspects fish have is great for us and is also a meat that is quite safe to eat raw sushi anyone. 

Seriously I believe everyone can be healthier if they consume more fruits and veggies and I have witnessed this myself in my own daily lifestyle easpecially over the last few months.

Do I think everyone has too start living this way no that would be incredibly nieve of myself.  All I'm saying is that we need to look at our way of living and consider the reasons that you may be sick or over weight.  Could it simply come down too what you eat or simply not eating enough of the right foods in your daily diet like the fruits and veggies?.

Eat some cooked foods if you must, try to eat more raw fruits and veggies to live stronger and healthier, reducing meats in your diet will reduce heart disease and other health issues and will help with weight loss.

AS ALWAYS STAY AWAY FROM THE FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS!!!!
UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY BUT I FIND THAT DOUBTFUL IF YOU GOT FAST FOOD YOU HAVE GROCERY STORES AND PRODUCE.

REMEMBER THIS ONE TRICK WHEN YOU SHOP STAY TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE STORE AND YOU WILL DO FINE.  IT'S WHEN YOU GO INTO THE MIDDLE AISLE'S THAT YOU FIND ALL THE PROCESSED JUNK,  WELL EXCEPT FOR THE TOILETRIES AND OTHER STUFF WE NEED.  THE GREAT THING ABOUT EATING RAW YOU JUST HAVE TO GO TO THE PRODUCE SECTION AND MAYBE THE BULK FOODS FOR SOME ORGANIC NUTS BUT REALLY THAT IS ALL.  THEN HIT YOUR HEALTH FOOD STORE FOR SOME OF THE OTHER PRODUCTS YOU MAY WANT.

Quit Smoking with PRAYER

This is going back a few years now though I felt I had to talk about this.  I smoked for almost 15 yrs had stopped here and there but most of the time I smoked for all those years.  I did not chain smoke but would easily go through a pack every three to four days so not even a heavy smoker.  I did however start feeling the health side effects hitting me so I knew stopping was something I needed to do for myself.  I started wheezing when I slept, I was having chest pains, heart palpatations, coughing almost regularly and sometimes would have black-out or a fainting type of feeling, and of course the nausea was apparent. 

I was going to a healing ministries conference with my wife just for the fun of it and while I was there I was talking to the nephew of the conference leader, and an older couple came up behind us since they had known the person I was speaking too being part of the worship/prayer leaders team.  I had just finished a smoke roughly five minutes prior to this and well the older lady mentioned she could smell smoke but not reg. smoke more like cigarettes she said she knew this because she had smoked in the past.  Well of course I mentioned it was probably myself having just finished one.  They asked if I ever wanted to quit.  I mentioned I did and had tried many times in the past but nothing worked.  Then then asked if I would like prayer over the addiction.  Well I know God is powerful and here are some people representing the power of the heavenly father I said sure lets do it.  So standing in a circle just the four of us they started praying over me and asking god to remove this addiction from me and that I would no longer have cravings for cigarettes and the smell would make me sick feeling.  Well all I can say is on that day over 4yrs ago now I was completely smoke free.  Also that to this day the smell of cigarettes makes me want to throw-up.  So all I can say is prayer can work miracles because being smoke free for all of these years now I'm healthier now then I have ever been.   I do attribute my mainly raw food lifestyle and new zest for exercise to most of this.  I would probably not even be living this way though if I was still smoking how can you live a clean life while still puffing away makes no sense to me anyways?.

So if you are a believer and have some faith in prayer and have been battling the ill fated cancer sticks
then look to some healing ministries and maybe consider getting prayer for your addiction.  I'm not going to say it will work for you but if you have tried everything else and it has failed why not try this.


P.S I'm not the only one that has been delivered from this death habit by prayer.

STOP LISTENING TO THE COMMERCIALS AND CORPORATION SALES GIMMICKS: GIVE UP THE GRAINS AND CEREALS AND START LOSING WEIGHT NOW!!!



With a lot of the research I have done I have come across many people that say in many different lifestyle/diet choices that the main way to lose weight is to lose all FAST FOOD, processed foods, grain products, and animal products.  Now I mean this may sound a bit harsh but if you look at the average family what is the majority of society consuming: High Fat, high sugar and salt processed foods, tons of meat and other animal products such as cheese and milk. and then of course all of the bread and grain products that range from well bread, pasta, cakes, cookies, pastries, muffins, cereal hot and cold, tortillas, pizza dough, buns, well you get the point.  The problem with this is our bodies are not designed to digest any of this crap.   Now corporations and nutritionists are pushing whole grains not realizing that these are higher in calories and even harder to digest then reg w/w bread products.  why do you suppose you see people actually getting fatter and more obese because they think they are eating the so-called healthy foods when in fact they are eating higher calorie harder to digest whole grains.  If you do not believe me do your own research and you will see that your average multi-grain or whole grain bagel or piece of bread has higher calorie value when compared to a  piece of whole wheat bread or a whole wheat bagel plus these tend to have a lot more fat involved as well as the grains soak up so much fat they must use extra to keep the bread nice and dense and moist.

So really if you want to ditch the spare tire, finally beat the battle of the bulge.  Then my advice to you is lay off the bread products or stop eating them all together especially the pastas these are weight gain central and at least reduce the animal products until you can say goodbye for good. 
THE BIGGEST THOUGH STAY AWAY FROM FAST FOOD!! Consider this the next time your thinking of hitting a McDonalds drive by a funeral home or look at the example your showing your kids seriously do you want your now thin kids following in your foot steps if your obese and having the ridicule and name calling you may have had?!!!!!!!!!.

Seriously if you were able to ask your favorite celebrity what they ate to gain weight for a role they were going to portray they would say lots of breads, pasta, and ice cream or other dairy products such as cheese and FAST FOOD. 

So if you knew this is what they ate to gain the weight why not stop eating this stuff to lose weight makes sense doesn't it?.

STARVE OR EAT TO LOSE WEIGHT YOU CHOOSE: For Myself I choose the RAW FOOD LIFESTYLE EAT AND LOSE.





I just watched an awesome video done by Harley Johnson if you know that name or think it is familiar it is Durianriders on Youtube.  He discusses how so many people feel the way he eats is somewhat insane that he consumes too many carbohydrates.  In contrast a lot of these people that say he is eating too many carbs are probably consuming too many protein rich foods like your meats, dairy and other protein based products like whey powders and such that are animal product based.  Personally I have no problem with the way Harley eats he is an Elite athlete has proven in blood test results that he is extremely healthy with NO problems in any areas if anything he is in great optimum health.  Even more so himself and many other raw foodists are in better physical and mental health then most of the protein crazed athletes on the planet and I have a feeling that they are most likely jealous of Harley and the other raw vegans/vegan athletes.   Really year after year so many vegan athletes are kicking the butts of all these animal protein muscle heads there must be reason right?.

It comes down to a lot of people not believing in another lifestyle because they could not see themselves living this way saying things like I need my MEAT!.  Really if a way of life is healing people, reducing obesity on the planet, and allowing people to thrive in life why bash it?.   This is a lifestyle thats is going to SAVE LIVES, so many people on this planet we have seen over the years with society consuming mass amounts of animals and there bi-products and what is happening to the masses of people possibly even yourself that are full of illness, on the verge of death, childhood obesity on a steady climb, and diabetes is at a all time high and really no end is in sight.

Dr's, Naturopaths, Nutritionists and Diatician's have been saying for years now how beneficial a lifestyle of mainly fruits and veggies in there raw state can attribute to weight loss, reduction in Diabetes, healing , and reversal of the aging process, and skin health as well.

The reason I mention skin health is because the quality of our skin is a sign of how healthy you are.  If you have acne, skin blemishes, rashes, even psoriasis and other skin issues, constant white heads or pimple.  This is a sign that your body is plugged up full of toxins and that your bodie's defenses cannot operate to the best of there abilities.

Meaning that over the years that you may have been abusing your body with fast food, greasy fries, gravies, and other fats, salt, sugar, and chemical laden foods it has clogged up your liver, kidneys and your colon and intestines. 

Now is the time to listen to what your outer body is telling you about your internal organs.  Even if only for a short amount of time give yourself and your body a green juice detox.  Once you start reomivng the toxins in your body you will feel energized, your skin will get this glow to it your eyes will become glossy and clear.

Sorry I went off topic Starve or eat and thrive  first off Harley is right you must eat if you want to live a thriving lifestyle fitness is key yes if you eat the starcy carbs like potato chips, white rice, and bread and cereals then yes you will pack on the pounds but if your consuming raw fruits and veggies like Harley and then running or riding your bike for a few miles everyday or doing a marathon or already have a physique of like 10-15% body fat then you need the fruits and veggies to equal the caloric intake that your body is buring off.  Elite athletes burn calories like a supercar burns up fuel Harley aka Durianriders is a Elite athlete so instead of bashing his way of life look at how healthy energized and motivated this guy is and jus imagine what your life could be like if you went raw. 

Eating more is not putting weight on eating more is needed raw foods have the energy needed to live a thriving lifestyle if your not eating enough of the fruits then your going to find yourself diverting to the junk all over again.  Seriously do you think Harley Johnson is FAT NO he is in better shape then most bodybuilders and probably could out run most athletes.  This guy not only competively trains with Tour De France Cyclists he is also a professioanl cyclist in his own right and a marathoner as well.  Some of these cyclist's they only ride there bikes Harley is also an elite level runner.

I just find it so pathetic that most of society are bashing the raw foodists when in truth this sector of society are the ones that will probably end up saving the live's of a lot of obese/morbidly obese and ill people that actually look into this lifestyle.

If you only took the time too really see that eating more fruits and veggies can make you smarter, more focused, slimmer, and more driven in life.  You would probably say why did I not look at this earlier in life.

So if you like to eat simple, no cooking required foods, and would like to lose weight at the same time and finally get rid of the muffin-top/spare tire and the thunder thigh's, then look at this lifestyle for your Transformation!.  

Remember any lifestyle you choose to live you need to get off YOUR BUTT!! It is simple find something you like too do that gets you moving it could be walking with a girlfriend or guy friend, cycling, jogging, weight lifting, soccer, basketball, football you know what I'm saying NO SITTING AND PLAYING VIDEO GAMES DOESN'T COUNT!! however if it is interactive games like with the Wii or the Xbox Kinect then go for it.

 One last thing most physicians will not tell you about this RAW FOOD lifestyle simply because if they did it would put them out of business.  If you researched this some more you would see that thousands of people who have converted to this way of life have cured themselves from cancer, diabetes, skin diseases and other illnesses, as well they have also bounced back from serious health disasters like stroke and heart attack as in the instance of Dave the Raw Food Truck Driver.

SO INSTEAD OF STARVING YOURSELF WHICH IN ACTUALITY CAUSE'S YOU TO GAIN MORE FAT AND CAN PLACE A SERIOUS AMOUNT OF STRESS ON YOUR HEART AND OTHER ORGANS GO GET SOME LEAFY GREENS AND SOME GOOD ORGANIC FRUITS AND EAT/JUICE AND ENJOY LIFE.

Sugar & Salt: The Silent Killers

These two flavour enhancing products have been put in our foods for decades even centuries as a preservation technique.  Though we have used these items daily as a reg. as drinking water we still today are blind to the health risks that both of these products cause to us.  First off we know that sugar refined processed sugar increases the risk of diabetes, rots enamel off of teeth, causes cavities, and also causes obesity.  Really in all seriousness those are just a few concerns that sugar has since when you consider obesity also leads to diabetes, heart disease, COPD a pulmonary breathing disorder, increase heart attacks risk, circulation issues, stroke, and of course dying young.  That is just sugar salt on the other had has even more issues I'm talking about the average iodized table salt, not the mineral beneficial Sea Salt you can buy.  Salt is known for increasing blood pressure, causing many other problems within us like heart palpatations, heart attacks, heart disease, and loss in bone density and strength like we see associated with Osteoporosis,  even in some rare cases over use of salt death has also been reported.  Yes salt is present in all of us and a small amount is needed to keep us alive but it is the over use in everything processed and refined and heavily seasoned that is causing many of us to have all of these nasty side effects.   If you have a sweet tooth fine just consider using natural alternatives compared to refined processed ones.  Like honey, maple syrup, stevia, agave, just too name a few.  For the salt consider using Sea Salt you do not need to use as much,  I find the flavour much more satisfying myself and in general it has health benefits as well. 

Really though even over doing the fruits and sugary veggies like carrots and beets is something you need to keep track of.  I love melons since they are primarily water and my other fruit favs. would have to be apples, pears and oranges.  Though out of everything having a nice slice of tomato with some sea salt and black pepper yummy.

Really though look at the labels of all the processed foods in the grocery store the next time you shop and you will see the highest levels are generally glucose/fructose or liquid inverted sugar or HFCS also known as high fructose corn syrup which is sugar and of course sodium aka: Salt.  So in actuality what are you eating when your grabbing the processed food from the freezer or the shelf processed meat products/refined grain products/liquid sugars/iodized salt and a whole bunch of chemicals for most of them you cannot even read have we lost the saying when you cannot read a ingredients label do not buy it yes I mean the one that is in English. 

Seriously people if we were all to reduce the amount of iodized table salt and refined sugars we consume we would be a much healthier and less obese public.   Truly we are continually seeing a rise in obesity worldwide but what else are we seeing a increase of worldwide  "FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS".  Yes and what is  apparent with fast food sugary pop/juice and salty/fatty food. 

Really if a lot of these processed foods we crave did not have all the sugars and salt in them we would not desire them because they simply would not taste all that great.  The salt and sugars are put there to disguise the actual taste of the product and the chemicals that are being used to simulate flavors.  Really do you think that animal entrails, and fat taste good on there own ever looked at how much sodium is pumped into a wiener's, bologna or a cheap brand chicken nugget ?. 

Look at some people in society they are so hooked on sugar and salt they add it to stuff that is already naturally sweet or salty or even the more bizarre putting salt on sweet stuff like an apple for instance or the common one done when you were a kid with sugar and cinnamon as dipping for fruit.

The worst aspect of all this is that parents are feeding there kids an over abundance of sugars and salts all the time look at sour candies for instance, pop tarts, pop, fast food, processed dinners, canned foods, you name it they are all over loaded with salt and sugars.

Look back in the years why do you think your dad or mom lived until they was old and grey well it was called home cooking, no processed crap, low salt, low sugar, and tons of fruits and veggies. 
Because back when your parents were growing up housewives/dads actually took the time to prepare something and knew exactly what was going in it. 

Today is the age of convience and well from what I can see an increase of people dying from obesity, heart disease,stroke, high blood pressure and side effects of that illness.  As well as Cancer
it has actually been found that cancer cells live off this refined processed crap mostly the sugar but it really makes you think about the increase in cancer, heart disease, stroke, and obesity correlates quite well with the increase of fast food joints and processed foods.

Plastic Surgery: Look at your inner health before your outer they are Linked.







I'm writing this to explain to so many people that plastic surgery is not the fix you really need.  What I mean by this is that once you go through plastic surgery it may make things on the outside look fine, but what really makes you look good on the outside is really how well your internal organs are operating on the inside.  So many people in society are quick to run to a plastic surgeon to get liposuction or a tummy tuck etc.  In all honesty for most people it takes you getting off your asses and doing some exercise.  Really 50yrs ago if you told someone that in the future people are going to be getting fat sucked out of there bellies and put in there butts or stapling there stomachs to lose weight they would probably think you were nuts.   Here we are though those exact procedures are being done hundreds of times a day all over the planet.  However if we were to say if you only had to change your lifestyle and get to the gym it would chnage the way you look , feel, and also save you tons of money instead of plastic surgery you would be like really.  

Well people the easy weightloss and complete transformation to your figure is here and really it has been around for centuries,  Simply put the Raw Food Lifestyle.  Converting to a mainly raw food lifestyle can transform you physically, mentally, and spiritually,  research it for yourself people are losing hundreds of pounds in a short amount of time with minimal exercise and keeping it off.  People are also reversing the aging process making themselves younger day after day and they are also making themselves stronger and healthier be detoxing and cleansing their internal organs.

Truly why spend thousands of dollars on plastic surgery and increase the possibility of illness, death, or some other complication after effect for a procedure.  Spend that money on Raw food ingredients supplies and make yourself and your whole family healthier and skinnier. 

Do not get me wrong plastic surgery is a miracle worker for many people born with cosmetic issues burn victims, and morbidly obese people who have tried everything well except this lifestyle that is.
Most of the problems we face today with obesity and illness can be blamed on processed crap/Fast Food and really the consumption of animal products.  We have a body that is designed to eat nutrient rich fruits and veggies not meats, animal by-products and cooked dead foods.

In all honesty if you were to give this lifestyle a decent try for atleast a week we will see some amazing changes and most likely some decent weightloss.

Why Living Raw May Be For You.

I'm writing this blog so you can figure out if this is the lifestyle that may be a good fit for yourself.  First off ask yourself some simple questions could you stand to be healthier, is losing weight a positive for you, is reversing the signs of aging something that interests you without the aspects of plastic surgery.  If you answered yes to just a couple of the properties in the topicsa above this may work for you.  Some other reasons that would be beneficial in converting to a raw food lifestyle:  You have just been diagnosed with a serious illness like cancer for instance, or stage 2 diabetes, many people who have converted to this kind of lifestyle have had cancer vanish, and also been able to go without diabetic medication as well as other numerous illnesses, like arthritis, IBS, Skin Diseases, the list goes on and on.  Truly the reason so many of us in society are becoming ill is truly from the foods we eat mainly the
animal products and other processed products in the marketplace.   Not only when you eat raw do you remove all of the products that have been proven to increase illness, you are benefiting from all the nutritional properties of the foods your consuming because you are not cooking them.

If you are not aware that when you cook any food above 119 degrees you are destroying all beneficial enzymes and nutitional aspects of the food I'm letting you know you are.  Fruits and veggies have been  available to us for thousands of years and vegetation has covered most the planet for millions of years  so it only makes sense that it is here for us to consume and grow and thrive in life.  

Really have you not wondered why we are seeing more and more viruses and illnesses and overweight kids as time goes by, because everyday a new processed and refined food product is being developed and being consumed by the general public with chemicals that are placed in the food to make it more addictive so people eat and eat and eat.  Now of course no company is going to come out and say that theses additives are in the food but in general the refined sugars and salts found in processed foods are bad enough in general.  Really I know many of use consume foods everyday that if we actually knew what went into them would probably not touch them with a ten foot pole.   Then of course the food gurus working in these big corporate food research plants have found and devised so many different types of chemicals and flavour enhancers we do not care what went into it because it tastes good.

It contrast though if food companies came out and said our products will cause obesity and other serious health risks including diabetes, cancer, heart disease, and increase your risk of stroke and heart attacks would we stray away from them most of us probably would make the conscious decision not to not consume these products.   Where as some people already obese and ill would say whatever and still eat these foods and you know what alot of these foods are in general " ALMOST EVERYTHING SERVED AT A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT INCLUDING THE SALADS WHICH WHICH MOST OF THEM SOAK IN SUGAR WATER TO INCREASE ITS EXPIRATION DATE".  SO EVEN WHEN YOU ARE THINKING YOUR EATING HEALTHY AT A RESTAURANT YOUR NOT REFINED SUGAR LADEN SALAD AND WHAT ON THE SIDE A SUGAR LADEN BEVERAGE BE IT DIET OR REG OR EVEN JUICE ALL THOSE JUICES ARE SYRUP AND WATER!!!.


So to end this blog are you tired of being fat, lazy, and having no energy, are you sickk of being looked at and laughed at behind your back or even right at you, have you had enough of being the punchline of so many jokes.  So are you ready to start living then try this for yourself I'm not saying go cold turkey or even removing all of the cooked foods.   I'm just saying increase your activity level and consume more fruits and veggies and lay off the processed garbage and animal products.

P.S If this sounds like your daily routine of eating processed foods then gaining more and more weight never seeing the end of the tunnel to actually living a thriving and enjoyable life and maybe seeing your feet or for the guys you know!.  This is the lifestyle for you or atleast one you should highly consider.

Getting too much Vitamin D

Well Yesterday we had a great day nice sunny not hot so it was a great day to  work in the yard.  The only obvious problem with this is getting dehydrated or sunburned well.  Well the dehydration part I had in check had the house at the ready.  The sunburn not so much there was a nice gentle breeze and so I did not feel like I was getting burned.  Long story short was I got excess Vitamin D my neck back legs and arms are on fire.  I'm totally going to go to health store after work and find some aloe or coconut oil hopefully that will dull the pain to some degree.  I do not believe in sun tan lotion simply put I feel a lot of the ingredients that go into sun tanning products have been tested and proved to cause cancer in rodents and so really is it the sun giving us cancer or the sun tan lotion makes you wonder?.  I will put up with a little sun burn then increase my chances of serious illness.  Really you put it on your skin it goes into your bloodstream.  Anyways just letting you know watch how long you stay out in the sun and if you burn easily maybe time yourself, I was out for like 5hrs so yeah I'm a little red today.  I have attached a youtube video for some remedies and tips to help after getting sunburned.

Dealing with Temptations: Remember Your Only Human

My temptations for the cooked foods still linger heavily.  I feel it will be some time before I truly overcome my love of breads and some meat products.  I still consistently eat mainly raw and if I do eat meat products it is once every few weeks.  When I compare my old lifestyle to meat products daily two or three times a day I would have to say I'm doing quite well.  I'm still battling the bulge to some degree but I'm also not gaining much weight back.  I believe I would have to thank my extra lean muscle mass and higher muscle percentage and the increase of my metabolism too some aspect of this.  Even if it takes me a few months to go completely raw or even completely vegan I feel if you give some time to any change it will last for the long run.  No change can be immediate no one is perfect I'm certainly not.  I will live by my mentors words love others and consume more fruits and veggies and do not judge others for the ways they live we all have our own paths in life.  If you do not know who I have as a mentor/inspiration for my choosing this new lifestyle path for my life it is Dan McDonald the Life-regenerator on YouTube and of course above all else God.  I feel like some of my blogs may have been kind of forceful and I apologize for this all I can say is living mainly raw has made a huge impact in my life and it could do that for yours as well.  If you cannot go away from your cooked foods I will recommend another option which many have had huge transformations from as well it is called the Hallelujah Diet. Type this into your search bar for a direct link to the information on this lifestyle.  Both of these lifestyles do however revolve around no animal products of any kind.  The hallelujah diet allows for such things as beans and potatoes and steamed veggies.
