Making Sure You Have Produce!!!

Your only going to be good at this lifestyle if you have the food around.  One the most vital aspects of this lifestyle is making sure you have fresh produce in your home and quite a lot of it actually.  Really pack your fridge with produce and get rid of a lot of the temptations you may have in your cupboards especially if your looking at this for a weightloss or detoxing.  Remember the foods you eat now will differ from what you have been consuming for the last 10-20-30yrs or longer, in essense if you know how to cook well retrain your way of thinking becasue now your going to learn how to uncook.
I mean to say you cook but the aspect ofusingstove/oven/deepfryer/toaster/microwave is all over!!!! well except maybe boiling some water for a nice cup of herbal tea.  Anyways this lifestyle you have many ways of cooking basically using a knife would be your basic, food processors, blenders like a Vitamix/Blendtec, food dehydrators, juicers, mandolins, spiralina machines, spirolli machines and other kitchen gadgets that may be used to process food but nothing that will break the 119 degree mark so your keeping all the nutritional aspects of the food your devouring.

Back to the basics though having the food when you primarily eating fruits and veggies it is quite common for the body to require you to eat more often and in generally more  now do not think that
eating all this fruit  your not going to lose weight.  For one the acids will help to burn away fat, the
amino acids will allow the body to make its own protein so you'll be able to burn off more fat and build lean muscle which also helps increase your metabolism and the high alkaline foods will help to clean the blood and flush the toxins from the body and also gives you more energy and strength.

So when your hungry eat grab an apple, orange, banana, whatever RAW product your body may be craving before you end up starving yourself because when you end up starving yourself.   Your mind triggers something in you especially the newbies that you need to devour a big cheeseburger or a plate of pizza and french fries because you haven't eaten for awhile so remember eat anmd if your at work take some pieces of fruit with you.

Remember this lifestyle is not for the faint of heart yes anybody can do it but it does take some willpower and dedication on your behalf.  JUST MAKE SURE YOU GOT SOME RAW GRUB AND NO TEMPTATIONS, SOME INSPIRATION LIKE A WEIGHT LOSS GOAL FOR INSTANCE, AND YOU'LL BE GOOD TO GO.

If your wandering what I mean by temptations the foods that have made you FAT and unhealthy, the foods that are killing you like, meats, dairy, breads, processed junk food, FAST FOOD, OOPS ALMOST FORGOT POP DIET AND REGULAR!!!and other grain and flour based products LIKE PASTA and CEREAL FOR INSTANCE.

This lifestyle is the way people ate more then 2 thousand years ago and beyond in many cultures even today animals are sacred they are not eaten if scientists and nutritionists keep saying cooked foods, processed junk, meats, dairy products, and grain products are the root of so much illness why are we listening to the big corporations getting rich off our illness.  Don't just listen to me listen to a lot of the raw foodists and Dr's/Naturopaths that live this way animal products and other man made refined garbage has been killing our population for decades look at smal thrid world countries living off the land are they sick NO because they do not consume the processed garbage North America and other large cities devour on a daily basis.

If you want to be healthy start doing stuff for yourself instead of going to your local store and buying some processed junk off the shelf or from a freezer make it from scratch learn how to cook or really learn how to uncook.

On a gentler note increase your RAW veggies and fruit intake, and reduce animal products and grain products and you will notice benefits in a short amount of time including weight loss and possibly reversal of illness you may be suffering from EVEN CANCER.

Green Juicing The Easiest Way to Cleanse The Colon.

I have drank a lot of green juices over the last few months and I would have to tell you if your not aware of this there is NO BETTER way other then a colonic to really give your colon a good detoxing.  Now your probably saying green juices I cannot handle the taste or I would rather eat my greens etc.  Well first off green juices using a decent juicer not a blender your removing the fiber aspect so it is easier to digest and pull the toxins from your intestinal walls and other body parts.  Not to say yopu could not use a blender just make sure you run the mixture through a nutmilk bag or some cheesecloth to remove the fiber.  Yes we all need fiber but when your detoxing and trying to pull toxins from the body consuming easy digestable substances like a green juice and simple water are the easiest and most practical ways.  Now like I said other then a colonic or an enema green juices are a great for detoxing, but do not dismiss the colonics or enemas these practices could end up saving your life from many ailments including Hemorrhoids, Colon Cancer, Cysts, Intestinal wall thinning.   This is all from a life of eating and drinking junk yes even meat, dairy, and bread products that are sitting on your colon walls and manifesting into some disgusting infection that could lead to something deadly because they never properly got digested in the stomach,  and since our intestines are super long.  So if going for a colonic or giving yourself a enema is not something you'll consider at the moment, get some green juice into you now!!!.   I personally like a concoction of lemon, apple, spinach, cilantro, parsley, romaine, kale, celery, and cucumber very easy on the fruits though like one apple one orange.  If you like some heat hot peppers are also known to help kill bacteria and viruses add some hot pepper like jalapeno for mild or a habanero if you really like the HEAT!!!

Here is a simple recipe
Some Raw Foodists have nicknamed this type of green juice "THE CITRUS BLAST"
2-3 cups spinach washed
1 whole head romaine lettuce washed
1 apple "coring optional"
1 lemon 1-2 bunches of kale, swiss chard, collard greens
whole head of celery
1-2bunches or parsley
1 bunch Cilantro
1 english cucumber or peeled normal cucumber
1-2 hot peppers (optional) kind of pepper depends on your heat sustainability.
or sprinkle of cayenne.
Other optional ingredients can be natural sweeteners like honey, agave, or stevia.

I use a Breville Juice Fountain Elite Juicer- considered the best centrifugal juicer on the market.
If using a blender or a cheaper juicer recommend running juice through nut milk bag or some cheese cloth.

Remember this is a green juice it is not suppose to be all sweet like a smoothie from a "Boosterjuice" or some other juice bar.  It's for your health to help remove toxins from your body.  Follow with a liter of water.  This should make a good amount of juice for one if it is too strong for the weak thisis where you could add some antural sweetener.

For myself  I find most green juices this one included quite refreshing.  "WARNING MAY NOTICE HUGE AMOUNT OF ENERGY BOOST".  Yes these juices have a zing all there own and is quite
a contrast to other stuff you have drank if you have never had one they do grow on you though and the more you drink these and eat raw foods it becomes all you crave.

P.S If your not in posession of a juicer or a blender fear not I'm going to tell you one of the best green powders you can buy check out http://www.hacres.com/    order there Barley Max Product they also have other powder products and is also a great place to buy equipment when you got the cash.
If you want other smoothie ideas and green juices check out the youtube bar I have below for them.

Gardening Before & Now.

Well another day of rain and clouds wishing the sun would come and stay for awhile up here in Northern BC all I can say is it is suppose to be 22 degrees this weekend and can't wait..  Plus another reason I wish I had a big greenhouse.  I have always loved working with the dirt and planting and such since I was very young.   I can remember helping my mom plant lettuce and other veggies and even dropping the carrot and other veggie seeds in the holes.  Most of all I remember lugging around our ancient front tiller as a teeneager what a beast and if you have ever used a front tine tiller you know it ain't much different then using a jackhammer if your working with hard soil.  The fruits and veggies we got every year from our garden were huge and delicious.   I'm thinking of getting my yard ready for some raised beds this year atleast get some tomato plants and maybe some herbs growing especially basil my favorite and some spinach.  Next year I will be doing way more getting some seeds growing in Feb.  and just being more prepared just didn't have the time this year.  Getting the raised beds built and the soil will be good for now and atleast a few tomato plants this year should be good what I really want to do is try to grow watermelon up here I know I will need some kind of greenhouse encloser so I'm looking at building the simple u-houses with some plumbing pipe and plastic sheets for now.  If I had a few thousand to throw around I would get a big sucker put up,  I'm on a few acres so I got the space that would be my dream have like 8 raised beds inside that with a long burning wood stove and grow all year long and have a few shelving units for my wheatgrass trays and sprouting jars.  I hope this gets you thinking of gardening on the weekend maybe and start some planting I know many of you already got flower baskets and such because I know I do.  Well as soon as we see them the wife grabs atleast two.  We got five hooks on the front porch so still have three to fill.  If your looking for some information on your next garden project or just some tips on making things grow better I would recommend you check out this guy on Youtube.   His channel is growingyourgreens.  I have enclosed a link to one of his many videos on gardening be sure to check out his channel your sure to find out anything needed for having a thriving garden this year and all the years to come he is in California and is known for having turned his frontyard into a huge organic garden oasis.

Enjoy gardening, grow your own save $$$$ and you also know what is on it or NOT.
not too hard really good soil, water, and sunlight mother nature does the rest.

Dealing with Temptations: Remember Your Only Human

My temptations for the cooked foods still linger heavily.  I feel it will be some time before I truly overcome my love of breads and some meat products.  I still consistently eat mainly raw and if I do eat meat products it is once every few weeks.  When I compare my old lifestyle to meat products daily two or three times a day I would have to say I'm doing quite well.  I'm still battling the bulge to some degree but I'm also not gaining much weight back.  I believe I would have to thank my extra lean muscle mass and higher muscle percentage and the increase of my metabolism too some aspect of this.  Even if it takes me a few months to go completely raw or even completely vegan I feel if you give some time to any change it will last for the long run.  No change can be immediate no one is perfect I'm certainly not.  I will live by my mentors words love others and consume more fruits and veggies and do not judge others for the ways they live we all have our own paths in life.  If you do not know who I have as a mentor/inspiration for my choosing this new lifestyle path for my life it is Dan McDonald the Life-regenerator on YouTube and of course above all else God.  I feel like some of my blogs may have been kind of forceful and I apologize for this all I can say is living mainly raw has made a huge impact in my life and it could do that for yours as well.  If you cannot go away from your cooked foods I will recommend another option which many have had huge transformations from as well it is called the Hallelujah Diet. Type this into your search bar for a direct link to the information on this lifestyle.  Both of these lifestyles do however revolve around no animal products of any kind.  The hallelujah diet allows for such things as beans and potatoes and steamed veggies.
